Landscape painter William Blair was born and educated in Belfast. He studied art and education at Stranmillis College (part of Queen’s University Belfast) and has worked as a painter and teacher of art throughout his career. He has exhibited throughout Ireland, and is closely associated with the Tom Caldwell Gallery in Belfast. William’s paintings deal with the impact people have on the land, and with the emotional tie they develop with a sense of place. He currently works in Antrim and Donegal.
